From One Freelancer to 500+ Projects Worldwide
Smart Web Design started in Johannesburg as a one-person freelance setup, building sites for small businesses that couldn't get an agency to return their calls. Five years on, that's grown into a small team of designers, developers, and a strategist, still working the same way: one project at a time, properly.
We've now delivered 500+ projects, for clients ranging from solo entrepreneurs in Joburg to established companies in the UK, USA, and Australia. Online stores, booking systems, custom web apps: if it runs in a browser, we've probably built something like it.
What hasn't changed is how we treat each project: like it's going to be judged on results, not just looks. That means realistic timelines, sites built to load fast, and work that keeps earning its place long after we've handed it over.
